Q: Where to children practice and have games?
A: Practice and games are held at DeMotte Elementary School.
Q: What is the cost?
A: Registration for one child is $70.00 if turned in by the early bird registration date which is November 6. The price goes up to $75.00 after that. Payments can be made with cash or check. Checks should be made payable to ARC Upward Basketball.

Q: Are scholarships available? What are the requirements?
A: Scholarships are available. Please fill out a scholarship application which may be obtained from the American Reformed Church office. We will simply call your references to verify that your child would be unable to play without a scholarship due to financial hardship. There are full and partial scholarships available this year. This information is kept confidential.
Q: How often is practice?
A: Practices are once a week, occuring on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. We may have practice on Friday night also if there is an overflow if kids. Practice will occur on the same night and time each week.
Q: What if my child or I have obligations for a certain day/night of the week?
A: Simply circle the day of the week on the registration brochure that your child is unavailable. This will help to determine which team your child will be placed on.
Q: Can all of my children be on the same team or practice on the same night? Can I request the same coach as last year?
A: Due to various factors, it is not possible to honor such requests.
Q: Can one child do both cheerleading and basketball?
A: Due to scheduling conflicts, children can only participate in one activity.
Q: Does my child have to come to both evaluation/registration dates?
A: Children only need to attend one evaluation date. Children should come in gym attire.
Q: Will you offer pictures?
A: Yes, picture packets will be offered. You will receive more information later in the season.
Q: What do the kids wear for practices or game day?
A: Children should wear appropriate gym attire for practices. All children receive an Upward uniform to wear on game day.
Q: What ages can participate in Upward?
A: All boys and girls in kidergarden through sixth grade are welcome.
Q: How can I help?
A: Help wherever your passion lies. Sign up to coach your child. Help out at either evaluation date. Work the concession stand. Clean up after practice or games. Sign up to share devotion/testimonial during game day. Be an announcer or score keeper. Pray daily for Upward Basketball.
