"The joy of the Lord is your strength" Neh. 8:10

Each week during the Sunday morning service our children are provided a special place to discover the meaning of worship through a curriculum which provides them activities and helps them listen for periods of time which are appropriate for them. Currently the children are divided into two groups: "Little Lambs" for 3-5 year olds where they listen to a Bible story, sing songs and do an activity related to the story. The older kids, K-2nd grade, are involved in "Children in Worship". In this program they experience worship through songs, prayer, a Bible story and real life applications of God's truth for their lives. "Children in Worship" enables them to meet with God instead of just learning about Him. One new aspect of this program is a Prayer Tree. Each week the children add leaves to the top of the tree, containing a prayer request, which is then prayed for. They are learning that prayer is very important in the life of a Christian. Just ask any K-2nd grader and they will tell you the three ways God answers prayer, "Yes, Wait, and No". Stop in and see all the prayer requests God has answered! God is really showing these children that he loves them and cares about their needs and the needs of others.
